After more than half a year of Winter, it is suddenly Spring and we have flowers to prove it. That's right, actual flowers. Hyacinth with its heady fragrance, the little faces of Pansies and Violets, stalwart hellobores, and forsythia bushes blooming like fireworks, bring every day a new delight. I just can't get over how hopeful this time of year can be. The Michigan temperatures go up and down every day and maybe, just maybe, we'll have one more snow, but for now, we have flowers and that makes me happy.
