First Spring blooms!

The first bloom of 2010; the timeless classic, always appreciated crocus. There is truly no bloom that makes me giddy like the crocus bloom. After 8 months of Winter these little flowers remind me, as if for the first time, of how happy flowers make me. When the rest of the yard is gray and brown these little beauties just shine even from far away. Of course, there can never be enough of them and by Fall I've forgotten all about the lowly crocus. This year it is on my to do list- PLANT MORE CROCUS BULBS!
